I am wondering whether I would have any chance for citizenship

Hi,

I am considering to apply for SC, however, given the fact that I would be applying without family, I was wondering whether I would stand any chance, or if an application would be a complete waste of time.

I am married to a spouse of another nationality and both of my kids have pr and dual citizenship. My spouse is not ready to give up her current nationality, and we want the kids to be able to choose their own future once they are old enough. To me, however, Singapore is home and I want to stay for good.

My profile:
  • Western European Nationality
    45 years old
    making ~180k pa
I have a masters degree from one of Singapore's two top Universities
Me and my wife have been PR for 11 years
Both kids visit a local primary school and we've co-owned a local property for 12 years (hence put down roots...)
Thank you for your opinion

I'd think of it this way - what's in it for Singapore? It's been pretty clear the intent behind granting SC is mostly to have families permanently settle here, hopefully for generations. You may want to stay here for good, but your wife is hedging her bets as are your kids. If they all leave Singapore in future, then how? IMO, it would say more about your seriousness in becoming SC if you applied as a family.
