apply pr on own merit, not sponsored

hi, i have a question. i had PR for almost 2 yrs sponsored by SC husband.

REP expiring soon, possible to renew REP using my own merit other than sponsored by husband again? will ica approve? i have stable job earning decent money, n a malaysian chinese

No. Since PR was sponsored by Husband, renewal is also via him.

Sounds like somebody is heading for a divorce. This is why foreigners are looked at especially hard if S.E.Asian female marrying a local male. Appears to be a marriage of convenience.
