Like you, I also applied for PR for my spouse shortly after marriage and got rejected after 7 months, appealed through MP and was rejected a second time. Due to changes in the family nucleus, we are now applying. I have been waiting for 7 months and the status is still pending.

Myself:
Nationality: Singaporean
Age: 42
Marital Status: Married since March 2021, 1 7-months baby
Salary: SGD60K p.a.

Spouse profile:
Nationality: Vietnamese
Age: 32
Gender: Female
Visa: LTVP+
Salary: SGD30K p.a.

I see, all the best in your application!!

hi! sorry for being out of topic, but may I ask what's your parent's reaction when u want to marry a Malaysian SPass? Dating for 2years with a Malaysian WP, he is trying to get Spass from his company which may take 6years....
My parents don't really encourage me to continue the relationship because they don't want me to "suffer" in the future. It's hard to find somebody to discuss :(

All the best for your spouse's PR approval! :D

Who is the one in the relationship? You or your parents? You’re an adult and you can make decisions for yourself.

Marriage to a foreigner while living in Singapore will never be easy. Once you do your thorough research, make all your plans, expect there will definitely be difficulties your fellow Singaporean couple friends will never understand, and don’t think about instant PR, it will be manageable. You have to be grounded and realistic about your expectations.

Any other changes since last application other than a baby?

Your parents can only guide you, at the end of the day if you feel like your relationship is worth it, then soldier on.

That's seven months ago, hardly enough time between applications.
