Timeline to PR

Post by sgdollarchase » Sun, 07 May 2023 11:59 am

I noticed there is a lack of information for Malaysian Indians applying for PR and succeeding so here are my details

Race : Malaysian Indian
Date of application : 2nd February 2022
Age at application : 39
Arrival in Singapore for work : August 2020
Degree : IT Bachelor Degree, graduated in 2006
Field of work : IT field since 2007 (Infrastructure support)
Employer : Recruitment company
Salary : 84k per annum at the time of application

Date of PR approval : 28 Feb 2023

Took a year and I'm grateful I got it before COMPASS comes into effect

Congratulations. If you don't mind, I'd like you to answer a question if you will. Are you you a 2nd Generation or older Malaysian Indian? e.g., was you Father or Grandfather Malaysian Indians?

I am a second generation Malaysian Indian. My grandfather immigrated from India pre-independence.

As I suspected, as culturally, like M'sian Chinese, I daresay you easily assimilated with the local population without too much if any, difficulty.
