I'll bet nohopeislife walks around listing to one side or the other, that chip being so heavy. Do you suppose that now we have two resident trolls with chips?
People who have been mugged on the street thereafter tend to see potential muggers in anyone and everyone walking down the street.

My sense is that hopeislife has either been the victim of racial discrimination or knows someone who has and like the person who has been mugged, sees racial prejudice in everything and everyone.

Like the person who has been mugged, the way back out of irrationally is to examine one's own inner belief systems to identify the triggers that set off behaviors.

I judge that hopeislife is sincere in trying to advocate for racial equality but like the boy who cries "wolf" when there is none, does himself no good service.

Update: Still pending after 9 months and 3 days of wait.
Performed an ad-hoc submission of first two semesters of MSc results under 'Update on Qualification' on 12 Jan with CGPA 4.6x/5.00.

Fingers crossed.
For the record, you are just adding fuel to the frustration fire. first two semesters and a buck thirty will only get you one teh-O. Nothing more. The ONLY thing that counts is the sheepskin (or whatever it's printed on today). Until you are awarded the degree, you have absolutely nothing except an emptier wallet/bank account. You GPA is irrelevant without a degree certificate. Trying to blow smoke up ICA butts is useless. Your countrymen have been trying it for years and ICA is already wise and it actually does you harm. This is the exact same reason that caused charitable works to be axed from the point system. It was being doing for non-altruistic reasons and as soon as they got either approved or rejected, that was the last the charity saw of them. Your countrymen burned the bridges before you got here. Just uncross your fingers and have some patience.
This comment is damn racist, but my PR application has been approved despite not completing Masters yet. I have also submitted one acceptance letter related to academic publication during my wait to ICA.

By the way, I am not an Indian, I am a Malaysian Chinese. As a moderator, please be more mindful of what you wrote and said to the Indian community. Eventhough you do not like them or do not welcome them, you still need to have basic respect. Your words will only reveal the low quality of yourself to the rest of the people in this forum, so good luck.

OK... I'll bite. What's "racist" about it?

Comments about education achieved, or lack thereof, are not racist.

Talking about charitable works is not racist.

Referring to "countrymen" is not racist.

So tell me... what is racist about this post?

It is okay. Just try to avoid his comments. I read these topics a lot and his comments are always condescending and never helpful.
