Lost in translation… a side effect and an injury are two very different things to me.
When injury was mentioned, I had conjured up images at a community center with people being chased around, getting slashed with needles - there was wailing and blood spatter everywhere! I’m sure you can see why it seemed so improbable to me.

Indirectly. Injury in that case is caused by an inflammation - - a side effect from either the disease or the vaccine

Until proper trials and studies are done, for all we know the reducing risk of COVID is side effect to all the other effects of MRNA vaccines.

The disease itself also carries the risk - so if the vaccine doesn’t get you, the disease will (for those unlucky enough to get myocarditis).
