Slim. But not impossible. As you are married, if you have offspring it may help. Problem is Singapore is shedding IT people left & right. I'd be also looking at a Plan B. Was your education a twinned degree here in Asia or did you do your degree in the UK itself. Yours is a difficult one and it's probably why it's been untouched. We just don't have the anecdotal evidence over the last couple of years to make an educated guess, truth be told. If you've not applied before You might give it a go but with realistic view of probable rejection. You buys your ticket and takes your chances. One thing about it is that if you don't buy the ticket, sure to lose. If your job seems to be secure, give it a go and then if rejected, use Plan B.

Seems like chances would be slim, though can't tell for sure.

I wasn't actually referring to just Singapore, but I wasn't specific. But that was the reason I said stick around and give it a shot but make a plan b. Right now isn't the time to voluntarily shoot oneself in the foot as long as he can hold out through another EP renewal.

Over a decade… have you applied before?

Being an NUS grad is a plus, and you’ve spent a good amount of time here. Being single and being Burmese, it won’t be so easy. Any prospects for marriage?

If your situation isn’t expected to change anytime soon, I would reapply. No harm, and you just never know.

If you reapply in less than two years after you applied previously, you look desperate. But, if allow 10 years pass between applying, you look uninterested. So if you are interested, you should keep reapplying (just not too often) and always strive to upgrade your situation in the meantime.

Good luck.

Ethnicity makes it tough. Any reason you have an applied previously? Are you male or female?

No point waiting really. Unless you get married or have kids, there isn't a significant change to your profile so chances will be similar.

I believe the 11 years refers to the total length of stay, if OP applied once before attending NUS the break between applications won't have been so long.
