edmw has the 100k salary discussion quite frequently. They seem to peg it as achievable by mid 30s. Might be skewed - any fresh grads earning that much probably have no time to hang around discussion forums.
Edmw?
it's a hardwarezone subforum
Yup, looked it up. Stark contrast to the calm, decent community we have here.

Something I've been thinking about - HardwareZone was, at some point, actually concerned with tech and the such. When did it become this?

I suspect that mid 30s for $100K might be wishful thinking for some.
IRAS data for 2021 income shows that about 19% of individual taxpayers have chargeable income of $100K and above.

For most of us yeah. Really depends on sector though, can compare here:

Had some fun toying around with the figures, pretty interesting. Wondering what they mean by sufficiently large sample size though.

MoneyMind is about the only sub-forum that I have found to be of any value in HWZ, but it’s also a mixed bag — the two fan club threads probably have the most value, IMO.

Oh come on, edmw gives me good laugh. I know sometimes I am part of the target group, yet I just enjoy it.

Besides, there are other parts of the forum, where I always go to seek help whenever I need, for example I set up a custom wireless repeater for my house using the information in the networking and broadband section. Then about telco plans, prepaid, postpaid plans etc.

But yes, the money mind forum is top notch. I wish I had discovered it right at the beginning when I came to Singapore. I discovered it quite late around 2017.

I've never really taken the time to explore it. Always seemed like it was crawling with sleazy men.

The one thing that I found interesting on the forum was the multitude of local gossip surrounding celebs. A surprising amount of (very personal) info is divulged there.

EDMW is short for the forum's name "Eat, Drink, Man, Woman"
actually it was translated from Chinese word - 吃喝男女.
The original word is 饮 食 男 女

mean human desire for food and sex and nature.

Base on the word, local know from the start, this section talk anything from sky to sea. Nothing serious. :D

Some section of HWZ is quite good.
Quite a number of guru inside and provide good advice.

During WFH, I feel my neck almost want to break into half. I went to "The spectacles Thread" and ask, realize I might need a progressive office lens. And true, once I have the office lens.. I got my neck back.

Nothing serious, but they seem pretty frustrated at times....
