Short Term Visit Pass EXPIRES March 4th. Whats the best way to get more time for Job search in Singapore?

Extending job search time in SG past March 4th visa expiry

FACTS:
1. I am a UK citizen working in Singapore.
2. I left my job in SG in December and they put me on a valid short term visit pass expiring March 4th. It cannot be extended by their HR>
3. I have no family here. I'm on my own.

ADVICE NEEDED:
1. How do i stay in Singapore after March 4th to continue job search?
2. Could i extend my Short term visa with ICA?
- Its limited to 30 days. Fee is $40. Any way to get it longer?

3. Could I leave Singapore via JB and come back after a day or two?
- what is the length of time anyone who has done this has had their visa for SG stamped for ?

I am in second round interviews with some companies taking 4 or 5 rounds. I could probably get placed within 4-6 weeks.

Leave and then come back loh. Go stay in JB for a few days. It shouldn't raise any flags unless you do it a lot. There is a chance that they may ask to see evidence that you are leaving but they probably won't.

Assuming you get placed within four weeks you have about a week until your pass expires. Then, you can extend your pass for 30 days and you should be cutting it close. If that isn't enough time, just leave the country and come back.

Doubt they'd ask. In any case OP won't have to re enter more than once so shouldn't be a problem.

Fly somewhere cheap for a few days. Don't do the JB overland route unlesss out for a week at least.

If you pursue this route, you could probably get a flight through Scoot for less than $100.
