PR Chance 2023

Post by raptor_from_vietnam » Mon, 20 Feb 2023 4:13 pm

Dear all,

I would love to have your input on my chance for PR. I applied together with my wife (she is the main applicant). Here are our demographics:
Age: both 29 this year (applied last year at 28)
Income: 200k in combined income, with her being 5Ks higher annually.
Sector: pharmaceutical for me, oil & gas for her
Education: both have been here since secondary school > JC > one of the 3 local Unis
I have individually applied once in early 2020, unsuccessful ofc. This is our first time applying together after ROM (in end 2020), her first time overall as well.

I understand that the chance for my nationality is pretty low. But I've seen people succeeding before, so I would still like to give it a few attempts before giving up on settling in Singapore.

Why are you not continuing on your older thread which has some info on your nationality, jobs, etc.

Else you are leaving different information like spaghetti in different threads.

Main applicant income matters and you give us a riddle like hers is 5K more annually, to be honest it does not help.

But at a very high level,
+ves
  • Your long stay in SG
    on EP
    Young and a couple
-ve
  • Ethnic Quota
    Salary
Overall, I feel you may need an increase in salary to still get the PR (assumed 100K for main applicant now). But I feel you will get it with time.

Hi Singaporeflyer,

My apologies I forgot to include the nationality (Vietnamese) in this thread. Yes, her income slightly above 100k and mine slightly below 100k.

Thank you for the input!
