you’ve kinda applied once every 2 years. the sg gov thanks you for your contribution to nation building.
but seriously, bit much init.
Well I first applied on 2015 after the birth of my first child and from there onwards I am persisting after every rejection with a hope that I can call singapore my home someday
I hope SG govt notices my consistency
They well, plus considering the fact that you've improved your profile between each application your chances will have increased.
Thanks for your positive remark. I hope so too.
Between my first application and my current application following things have happened with me,
1) I have completed a part time master's degree from NUS in Data Analytics
2) My salary increased almost 2 times
3) We have given birth to a baby boy.
So I believe its a significant improvement.

Yes , the waiting time is long for some cases. Let's hope it's worth the wait. Good luck to us.

Salary increase and the birth of your son are what's going to make a real difference. Seems like you would have a much better chance this time.

For the first time I am feeling more hopeful than ever.
I have also received a reply from an officer for my email.
A particular sentence from that email caught my attention
"
You have to wait for your application to be finalized before you apply for your son.
"
I know this is no cryptic sentence to give positive signs , but it feels nice

Good to be optimist.
However , the statement is just a fact. You can’t add your kid to existing application.
We tried and we got same reply and reject after few months.
Second time we waited for our son to be born and applied after his DP was sorted out.

It almost never pays to try to jump the gun or push on ICA as they hold all the cards and don't show any of them. Remember, if they get up on the wrong side of bed or the spouse give cold shoulder before going to sleep, the officer might be in a bad mood. If that happens those officers are gods unto themselves. Even when you appeal a rejection (or in the past at any rate) the appeal is generally handled by the original officer who did the rejection initially, which as you could imagine would explain why appeals are rarely approved. This directly from the ICA officer who ultimately gave me my PR when we ran into each other at a Children's Christmas party at SICC about 10 years later (at the time he told me he had gone up the civil service ladder a bit and was no longer a line officer but #2 at ICA-He might be retired like me by now. We had an interesting conversation and because of the nature of my PR interview he remembered me and actually approached me to find out how I was doing, etc.
