Seeking advise regarding ongling PR application

Post by Faxian » Fri, 17 Feb 2023 3:32 pm

Greetings everyone,
Seeking your kind advise relating to our ongoing PR application.

Background:
Me and my better half (ofcourse my Wife :) ) have been in Singapore for 9 years on Work Pass. We are European/UK citizens of Indian ethnic background. We both have professional jobs, what I consider as rather decent earnings with and good jobs with European multinational organisations. I am in early 40's and my spouse is in mid 30s.

Its the first time we applied for PR in June 2022, as we thought its timely to commit to Singapore and start a family, didn't really expect for the decision to take this long. We are keenly awaiting an outcome while eagerly expecting our first child in coming weeks.

Would really seek your kind advise on below two questions:

(1) Should we be advising ICA on the new addition to our family and including our child to the application? Will it help the application?

(2) Since the members here are the most knowledgeable, we'd like to seek an opinion on our chances.

We really appreciate your time and pro bono guidance to many like myself. Its indeed a nobel of you'll.

Best regards,

Best regards,
1) yes for first part of the question, no to second part.
2) too little information to advise.

Just age, ethnicity are just 2 factors. There are close to atleast 8-10 factors considered for each application. So, can't comment on your chances.

Hi there,
Thank you for your advise so far. I am coming back on this after a while.
We have been blessed with our child few months back.

Since then we promptly got her UK passport issued and DP was in principle approved. I wrote to ICA on the addition to our family. As a response ICA promptly replied acknowledging and noting the contents of my message. No further instructions.

Our application is still under process/pending, however only shows my wife and I on ICA website status check. It doesnt show our child's on the list of applicants.

Q1. Is there anything else that we need to do? Bit nervous about our child not showing up on the list.

Q2. Its been 15 months+ since our initial application. We are getting itchy to know whats taking this long. Wondering if anyone can advise in any way.

Q3. What additional information can we potentially share to seek your opinion on our chances.

Your kind guidance and counsel is much appreciated. Look forward to hear from you.

Cheers,
Faxian

1. Read this post by the forum mod:
Unless it is something that has happened prior to the application date, it doesn't count. So, in order to add to the application the baby would have had to be born before the application submission.
Your kid wasn’t reflected in the application ‘cos they weren’t born when application was made.

ICA acknowledging the birth of your child may not necessarily mean ICA added the kid into your application.

2. People have waited up to 27 months for PR result. Nothing more to do but to keep waiting.

3. Refer to point 1, unless you forgot to include something in the original application, you can’t “add salt and pepper” to an existing application.

Unless you change address/job/income, then you update ICA. Anything else has no value. If rejected then you improve your profile before re-applying.

Dont get nervous or itchy regarding the application. KIndly dont stress yourself out, as i personally feel this time it may not be a favourable result for you. But yes, things may get favourable for you if something positive in your case(as you have not given us your complete profile), so do let us know here if you got approved.
