I agree. These people don’t have a choice, and they are often the sole bread winner… they deserve to be kept safe. No question about it.

So the market rate for a "good class bungalow" on 15k sq ft of land is $120,000 a month, while a minister can rent a government-owned one on 250k sq ft for $26,500 a month.
Good job on the ST for failing to point out the massive discrepancy.

Were you hoping to see obscene pics?

As we all know, the concept of free press is unknown in Singapore. This results in some bizarre news stories.
From the Straits Times today:

Not only do they give the name of the telegram group, which doubtless has seen a massive influx of new members. There are no obscene pics I could see in the group (disappointing) unless bikini pics are obscene. Lastly none of the pics are taken in Singapore, most of the backgrounds look like Hong Kong.

I don’t want to speak for tiktok, but from his posts it seems pretty clear that he leans heavily libertarian and is probably a strong advocate for deregulation of the socially conservative policies that are so restrictive about covering up here. When he’s not in Singapore, he’s probably relaxing in the buff by the pool at the Hedonism II resort in Jamaica

"Video about Singapore Airlines flight critically low fuel landing in Batam goes viral"
Not sure what's "viral" about a video with 500k views from a youtuber who regularly gets 1m+ views on everything he puts out.
I suspect miscommunication due to singlish was
a major contributor to this incident, especially since the cockpit voice recorder has been mysteriously "lost".

"New financial incentives to spur low-income families to work towards improving their lives"
Ah so that's why people are poor in Singapore, they are too stupid or lazy to "improve their own lives". We need highly paid government ministers to show them how to do it. Genius!

Million dollars ministers are supposed to come up with brilliant solutions to help the poor so that they can in turn vote for them

No, the reason they do it - directly or indirectly - is to keep the PAP in power.
