Hi all,
I’m a Singaporean and my husband has applied for PR (I’m the sponsor).
I was just wondering what are his chances of getting a job in Singapore once he gets his PR? Mainly, do employers differentiate between Singapore citizens and PRs?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

PRs & citizens always have easier time finding job compared to foreigners on EP/DP/LTVP.
No differentiation between citizens & PRs unless the job is very sensitive and can only employ citizens.

If the job really sensitive, even converted citizen will not shortlisted.

I would’ve thought the harder part is getting the Pr without a job!

Yes but not impossible. My friend has been unemployed for 3 years before she got her PR in Dec 22. Husband (sponsor) is only a PR, but they got 1 girl and 1 boy, so maybe that helped.

PR via family ties scheme has different set of criteria compared to PTS scheme where you have to be employed.
For family ties, as long as the sponsor is working and can financially support the family and PR applicant, the applicant can remain unemployed.

Yup, it's only impossible under PTS scheme. No EP/SPass, no application.
Anw, it also took my friend 3 tries to get PR. First 2 times applied with daughter. When the son was born they applied the 3rd time and got approved.
