Post by sharkyfy » Mon, 13 Feb 2023 10:16 pm

Hi All,

I just need your advice, last september 2019 (I was a PR for 1 year and 7 months) I applied citizenship and got rejected back in July 2021

this was my profile back then:

- Age: 27
- Race: filipino
- Gender: Female
- Salary: 56k+ annual income working in IT MNC
- Length of stay in singapore: 7 years
- Education: Uni Degree
- Status: Engaged to Singaporean Chinese
- We recently purchased a resale HDB flat under fiance scheme

I applied again in Sep 2022 and this is my profile at the point of application:

- Age: 30
- Race: filipino
- Gender: Female
- PR since feb 2018 just renewed REP last december 1, 2022
- Salary: 72k+ annual income working in IT MNC
- Length of stay in singapore: 10 years
- Education: IT Uni Degree in Philippines
- Status: Married since 2021
- we officially own and live in an HDB flat since 2020 (marriage cert was delayed submitting due to pandemic but were given exception due to the situation)
- my husband is 33, singaporean chinese, annual income 66k, he finished secondary school, works in the same IT MNC as i am.
- no kids yet
- I applied on my own merit once again.

I hope I supplied the complete information to advice me.

Thank you so much in advanced for your advices. ❤️

Hello everyone,

I am preparing for my citizenship application this year, and I am wondering what difference it would make if I apply on my own vs apply with my spouse (who is a citizen)'s sponsorship. I am PR for more than 2 years and have a job. Would appreciate if you could share any views or experience. Thank you!

On the off chance that this is a legitimate query and not a fake account, you must know that there's a significant advantage to applying with your spouse as a sponsor. Even better if you have a kid together.

Hi, I was wondering which part of my post or profile that looks fake or illegitimate. But thank you very much for your comment and noted and will prepare for that.

Lisa probably didn't notice your date of joining or your posts count and check your previous postings. This happens sometime when we get on a roll and especially if we can work our own hours as it were. You needn't worry. Your posts are better than than most. I answered most of your queries back here when you first arrived.
