For handphone data, CM Link has 12 GB for $10.80 per month and SIMBA has 100 GB for $10 per month.
Wow, get those deal while you can… if you have the need!
My Republic, TPG have similar.
I pay MR for one dataline like SGD4-6 (14GB) and another voice/data (SGD10) where for some reason I see now 60GB under my account. Go figure.

SH regular voice-data mobile bundle, 50-80GB @SGD20-25.

I'm not sure most people need anything close to this much (although I'm sure some do). Even 1-2 GB is quite a bit in a month if just using chat apps, read news, Grab/taxi, etc.

More just a sign of how cheap some off this stuff has become over the years. It also seems like it became easier to unbundle stuff vs. getting a "deal" but still paying for stuff you didn't really need.

My SH home internet used to be around $20 or less for many years, but that was on a contract. Now they don’t have good deals, so I didn’t bother to recontract.

As for cellular data, I only have 100mb thrown in free with my cheapo $12/mo legacy plan from SingTel. I rarely need data. I think last month I used only 28mb. On my birthday month they give me 1gb free, and I barely use it.
Mal, you're kidding! 28mb?? Do you never leave home?

GOMO and circles have similar deals. They're all owned by M1/Singtel.

$4 for data is insane. Best I've ever gotten was $25 for 30gb from singtel. Not the best deal out there but it comes bundled with our internet. Still, hell of a lot better than 6/7 years ago, one 300 MB at M1 was 30 bucks a month.

I'm not sure how much technology has improved in the last couple years, or if they were just scamming us all this time by overcharging, but things have certainly gotten much cheaper.

I normally don’t switch cellular data on when I leave home, and if I do, I only switch it on for a few apps that don’t use much data. My phone is configured for the free Wireless@SGx access which works at many of the places I go. I also have free wireless at my workplace. At home I download stuff I want to consume offline while I’m in transit.

I just don’t see the need.

Wow, so you don't text/email while you're in transit? The last time I used wireless@sg was 5 years ago at a McDonald's, the connection was terrible. Maybe it's improved since then.

I remember back then, wireless@sg got really bad at one point (I was using it daily). It seemed like they were purposely trying to frustrate people to trigger holdouts to opt for a data plan, because it was working well prior. It took a while, but eventually they gave up on converting holdouts.

Nowadays coverage is even better, and it couldn’t be more convenient to connect, once you download the app and install the config, you then connect to wireless@SGX and it’s as easy as connecting to your home wifi - one tap.

My way is not for everyone, but keep in mind, this something that I evolved into, over many years - it just works for me. My $12 plan also comes with 700 mins of calling, 500 texts, free roaming & caller ID… all of which I find valuable, and it can’t be found at that price today (at least not from SingTel).

My plan is $25 a month, for 30gb data, 1000 mins and 500 texts. If you work it out, mine is more value for money. Though if you don't use the data it's wasted money. I don't know what free roaming is though, don't you still get charged for data usage overseas?

Wow, that's really one of the best deals I've seen in a while. Any contract?
