Too short stay in Singapore. Don’t be surprised if you receive a rejection.Bdada065 wrote: ↑Wed, 22 Feb 2023 4:10 amHi,
I wanted to know my chances if I were to apply PR for the family after the birth of my second son. I'm an American Born Chinese. I have been on EP for 6 months. Moved from Hong Kong (11 years). I learned conversational Cantonese while in HK and refined my Mandarin. Even though father lives in HK we are setting roots in Singapore as environment better suited for kids rather than HK.
In the process of buying a condo in Singapore currently, no additional buyer stamp duty being an American. Previously divorced, but here in Singapore with current wife whom I've been married to for 4 years.

Yep. So you're ethnically Chinese holding an American passport?Bdada065 wrote: ↑Thu, 23 Feb 2023 11:07 amI'm an American, born to a father who has Macau and Hong Kong PR but had a USA green card at the time of my birth. My mother, who is Taiwanese, didn't receive her USA green card yet at the time of my birth. So, technically, I have USA and Chinese birth right by blood. But really Hong Kong and Taiwan people really are all genetically part of the same group - Chinese.
Kids applying with both parents as PR's are pretty much as close to guaranteed PR as possible. I believe your previous rejections had to do with applying too early.Singapore bird wrote: ↑Thu, 23 Feb 2023 2:01 pmHi,what are my kids pr chances.

I think you have pretty strong chances given your ethnicity, nationality, time in SG, and child-producing age bracket.thesti wrote: ↑Sat, 25 Feb 2023 8:46 amHello.
I am wondering what would my approval chance if I apply for a PR. Here is my profile
Has been staying in SG since Nov 2018 (4 years, 4 months)
Annual salary: 88k + bonus
Pass: S Pass.
Education: Bachelor Degree of Computer Science from Indonesia University
Occupation: SAP Consultant (IT consultant)
Nationality: Indonesian
Race: Chinese
Marital status: Single
Age: 36 this year
I also wonder should I wait for May, because I would get a bit (a few percent, not sure yet) of salary increase and would be reflected in my April payslip..
Thank you.
How did we say the applicant is she ?MOCHS wrote: ↑Sat, 25 Feb 2023 1:57 pm^ Incorrect about the “strong chances”.
S-pass is a bit hard to jump to PR right away. Having EP is better.
Age 36 is already past the recommended child bearing age of 35… which brings to the next point that she is also single. SG prefers married couples to beget the next generation.
ICA might request for proof of Chinese ancestry for Indonesian Chinese applicants as well.
I would say chances leans towards low even if she has been in Singapore for a while.
nice question! I was also wondering how MOCHS came to know!!!singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Sat, 25 Feb 2023 5:32 pmHow did we say the applicant is she ?MOCHS wrote: ↑Sat, 25 Feb 2023 1:57 pm^ Incorrect about the “strong chances”.
