Travelling across Asia

Post by DravenWatson » Mon, 23 Jan 2023 4:02 pm

One of the biggest draws of travelling to Asia is the diverse range of cultures and experiences that can be found in the region. From the bustling cities of Tokyo and Hong Kong to the tranquil temples of Bali and Kampong Glam, there is truly something for everyone.

And location can be picked based on how long your leave is.
You have have the 1-3 hours flight.. where you can spend one weekend +
You can have the 3-6 hours flight .. where you can spend 1 week type of vacation

Yeah, the original poster is posting from Nepal. Oh, and he registered 6 minutes before he posted his absolutely useless statement as he's preaching to the choir, not the congregation in other parts of the world.

Well at least it wasn’t text copied and pasted from some other website.

These kinds of posts often are, but a quick search turned up nothing.

Plus, lucky for those of us living here, we can even cross the causeway in an hour or two, during off peak season.

Agree, I'd say Asia is one of the most diverse regions in terms of food. Yes, there are many similarities that have to do with proximity and cultural overlaps, but the range is just incredible.

Gotta respect the hustle, LOL! Though it appears to be a generic paraphrasing of some lifestyle article.

Indeed! How to beat the attractive 3.25 exchange rate. However, not this weekend for sure. Saw some of the online post on the causeway jam, its absolutely no joke!

Yes, the absolute best time to venture across is a week or two after a major holiday. Everyone has had their fill and it’s usually a breeze.

Apparently queues to JB were 5 to 7 hours long!

Yup, during peak season I like to stay far away from the action, to give the Malaysians residing here a chance to get home to see their family. No point clogging up the roads when I have no reason to be there.

My friend was driving to JB during LNY pre-covid, had to go number 2 in the middle of a big jam. Unfortunately she wasn't feeling well and couldn't control it... needless to say she had to dispose of her bottoms.

Oh, that reminds me of a scene in Animal Kingdom where they locked a bunch of tweakers a vehicle in order to “soil” the vehicle sufficiently where the police wouldn’t be able to make heads or tails of the forensic evidence… LOL.
