I'm moving to singapore from Perth and i want to move in to area full of artists and students and open minded people, Can you suggest any area's to start looking?

Don't think you could find artists enclaves anywhere in Singers like those in Ozzieland

Perhaps an area with more colourful character would be Geylang

Anyway, is your employer paying for accom? Try to get a Serviced Apartment for the first few weeks before deciding to sign a lease for an apartment.
