Hi folks, kindly assess my profile and let me know the chances of getting PR.

Living in Singapore since 2014. 1st time trying for PR.

Nationally - Indian
Education - Masters from NUS, Full-time

Visa - EP, working as Software Consultant
Salary - 100K SGD p.a
Employer - Microsoft partner
Total work experience : 11 years overall
, 7 years in SG
Family members - wife (not working) and 1 kid (boy, 5y), both on DP
Actively contributed in volunteering programs from Red Cross and Giving.sg (not sure how much it will contribute)

Appreciate your inputs. Thank you :-)
What is your wife's profile?
My wife is not working at the moment. Her educational qualifications are double Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from top Canadian University and has worked before in India and Canada. She intends to work soon if she ever gets a sponsor for EP. Not sure if my wife's un-employability at the moment will affect the chances of PR approval nor her educational qualifications will help to boost the chances.

What are your thoughts on this?

Age and length of stay in your favor .
Nationality / race not so much .

Good thing is that you can keep trying for 5-6 years . Best of luck

Sorry for the late response, I missed your post. Being employed will certainly work in your favor, as unfortunately, potential employability is not worth anything.

Why is length of stay not in his favor? 14 years is sufficiently long.

Reread Ignorant1's reply. "Age and length of stay in your favor."

Question
Do children under 12 also require medical check for PR formalities once approved ?
We didn't need to do this.

As your current application is still pending, by all means update ICA ASAP if you have a current full month's salary voucher showing the full basic salary (e.g., full month's pay). Letter of increment/promotion if received by employer also would help. As long as the process is still pending do it now. If a rejection comes before you do it, you know the drill. Wait 24 months before reapplying. Good Luck.

Always update ICA. The salary increase, birth of your child, and repeated application are all factors in your favor. Hope things work out better for you this time.

Dear forum members,

I hope this message finds you well. Although I did not create an account on this forum before, I have been following the articles here to gain insights and tips shared by the members. Today, I would like to share my successful experience with the PR application, which may benefit someone in the future.

Here are the details of my application:

Nationality: Taiwanese
Age: 31 years old (male, single)
Education: Bachelor's degree from a UK university (obtained in SG in 2020)
Length of stay: Since June 2016 (7 years; 4 years on student pass)
Work experience: 2 years in TW, 2.5 years in SG
Visa: S pass
Annual Salary: Approximately 75K (including bonus)
Industry: Finance

I submitted my application after completing one year of work experience with income tax records in October 2021. In August 2022, I was requested to submit a family CV. I promptly provided the requested information and also updated ICA with my revised salary. Additionally, I informed them about the unfortunate passing of my father.

Throughout the process, I refrained from contacting ICA to inquire about the status of my application, as I strongly believed that no news is good news. On 25 May 2023, I noticed that I could no longer upload documents on the ICA portal. Six days later, on 31 May 2023, I was able to submit my CPF health declaration. Then, on 2 June 2023, after midnight, I checked the portal and found that my application had been approved on 30 May 2023.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to this forum for providing valuable information that helped me during my PR application journey. I wish all those who are currently applying or planning to apply the best of luck. Cheers!
