Applying for S-pass while on Dependent Pass

Hello,

My wife is currently under Dependent Pass sponsored by my company (I'm on EP), and found a job in Singapore and just submitted an Spass application on Thursday.

Is it ok to apply for Spass while your DP is still active? Do we need to first cancel the DP and then apply for Spass?

I'm just wondering if we did something wrong by applying for Spass before cancelling the DP

Usually the company helps to apply for the S-pass. Then when everything is approved and you go down for the appointment to collect the S-pass, your wife surrenders the DP at the counter.
