Citizenship application

Post by Kevinsmith08 » Mon, 26 Dec 2022 10:49 pm

Hi hi friends.

Just a brief intro -

34yo Indian national here.
IT graduate - highest qualification bachelors (completed here)
Married to a local for more than 8 yrs now. We also have a newborn.
Been staying in singapore for more than 10 yrs now (S pass, LTVP and now PR).
Got my PR through spouse scheme
NS exempted- 1st gen
IT sector / salary around 40k annual
Wife - IT sector / salary around 50k annual
Recently bought our resale flat also.

I’m completing my 2nd yr permanent residency soon. Thinking whether I should apply for citizenship now itself or is it too early? Just trying to evaluate my chances that’s all.

Thanks
K

Feel like you have a good chance considering your wife is local, you have a child together and you've been in Singapore for so long. Should go ahead and apply.

Chances are good. Would be good if you increase your salary and then apply under SC wife sponsorship.
