Bro, you need to re-read every section of the
PMLA info on ICA’s website again very carefully.
The PMLA is a free online assessment which allows them to:
* exchange key information with each other before getting married;
* find out if the prospective NR spouse may qualify for a Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) after marriage; and
* enjoy a significantly shorter processing time when they subsequently submit an LTVP application.
…
a positive PMLA outcome is not an immigration pass
No where does it say PMLA lets you stay 1 year in SG. It just says the LLE is valid for a year, that’s all. You just assumed it is a visit pass when everything on the website says otherwise.
LLE only helps you to:
- Determine if your prospective spouse is eligible for LTVP
- Shortens the LTVP application time
Your fiancée needs to be on her own eligible visitor/visa pass from now until she gets the LTVP in her hands.
Since she doesn’t have much time in SG, just do the ROM ASAP after you get the MOM approval, apply LTVP 1 day after the ROM. You can hold a banquet later.
Most of the time, “exchanging key info about each other” translates to planning for wedding. It definitely won’t be easy if one person in SG and one person overseas but it can be done. Just a bit stressful. I handled the SG wedding planning by myself when my then-fiancé was overseas, lots of online correspondence.
