Eukanuba discontinued?

Post by abbby » Wed, 30 Nov 2022 9:52 am

Anyone own pets? Any idea about this brand of pet food disappearing from the shelves? Has it been discontinued for sale? It's really strange to suddenly not be able to find it anywhere.

Maybe they are having another recall due to contamination? They have had three over the years, the last in 2014. They moved a dry dog food mfg plant to Australia in 2021. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Oh, two of the recalls were dangerous also to humans. One was Salmonella and the other was Melamine. I tried to do some research but couldn't find anything either local or int'l other than the above I noted, and most extolling their praises for the product.

Thanks for letting me know. They could have been the reason, because it's so sudden and just couldn't find the products anymore. Oh my god, melamine sources in the pet food?

I've noticed this as well. https://www.poisonedpets.com/pg-recalls ... amination/

Recalling Eukanuba and Iams. This was a while ago though, so perhaps it's a stock issue.

We use Burp dog food. Comes in a number of flavors like salmon and veggie, lamb, and brown rice. Our dog seems to love it, you can give it a try. Not too expensive either, is usually 20% off at pet lovers.
