Don't think charity work is gonna do anything to bolster your application.

Your application doesn't stand out from many of your fellow countrymens', I would say very low chance of being successful in this current environment.

When was your last rejection and what has changed since then?
Was your son born in SG?

Your family income seems decent, you're in the good age bracket, and the period of stay in SG is also not too short. But being an Indian does mean the bar you need to cross maybe very high. If you were rejected not so long ago, has there really been a significantly big change in your profile?

It may count for some thing, but definitely not enough to sway the application.

Plus points are salary, length of stay in Singapore, and the fact that you have a son. Ethnic quota is OK. When was your last rejection?

It was rejected 6 months back. There is a change in my profile like a salary and promotions so thought to apply with these new changes.

Honestly, what has really changed (last application was submitted a year and change ago?)? Slight increments and promotions are nice but is it really moving the needle? Unfortunately, I don't think the school of a two-year old is a big factor.

Go ahead and apply if you want, and best of luck. I understand one can't get approved if you don't apply. But personally, I'm not sure applying excessively fast and often is really helping anyone. Of course, I am not ICA but just looking at what goes on here.

Look at the rest of the posts in this forum. Many people with similar profile as you. If your increment isn’t 30% and above, then forget about applying again as you’ll most likely be rejected once more. General consensus is to re-apply 2 years after last rejection and during these two years, really make major changes to the profile.

What does not work at all: Volunteering, blood/monetary donation, MP/testimonial letters, property/car/insurance purchase, immigration agencies. These are all worthless in ICA’s eyes. Don’t waste your time and theirs.

If you were married to a SG citizen or PR, that would have been better but you can’t change that.

For nearly all cases, six months is not enough time to make a real difference.

If you are set on a reapplying at this moment, you may be wasting your time. You would have much better luck reapplying in a year or two.

Especially agencies, sad to see so many people falling for that, even I believed they worked a couple years ago.

Agree, I think the key here is that one should reapply when there has been significant change, not just at the slightest salary increment or minor change at home.

Anecdotally, across about 18 years on here, you can pretty much figure on waiting 2 years after the date of your last rejection. But at the same time, if the only thing that has changed is an annual cola. You are a) pretty much wasting your time, and; b) setting yourself up for unneeded frustration and disappointment.

Sadly, you are in the smallest individual ethnic demographic and the most heavily oversubscribed demographic for PR. This doesn't mean you are competing with the C.M. & O. but are competing with only those in your own demographic cohort.

Due to the sheer size of the Indian population (tied with China now I believe, or very close), one is competing with India's cream de la cream. (as an example, 30% of the fortune 100 CEO's in the US are all Indian Nationals. This is what you are up against.

Additionally, a lot of Indians who have come here over the past 20 years tended to either burn the bridges by abusing Singapore, or collecting PRs from several countries as bolt-holes. Singapore has been burned more than most as it is highly advanced and makes a excellent stepping stone for Indian venturing out around the globe and it is also attractive to High Flying Indians who are getting older and well established in their careers an now want to be in closer proximity to India so Singapore catches the UK, US, CA, guys coming the other way in later years to be closer to India but with a higher standard of living (subjective, I know).

Personally, I don't see any success in the near future.

Truth hurts and this is put so clearly.. thanks to all these PR collectors the genuine ones will never have a chance unless they sink in roots (aka marry a local)
Now Indian people with their indian wives and children should get the drift and stop applying multiple times lmao
