PR interview - original docs

My PR got approved and we have booked our appointment with the ICA for the final part.

For the appointment they require all original documents that we submitted during the initial application. However our university degree originals and birth certificates are overseas in our family's homes.

Is there any chance ICA will be okay with photocopies, or is this a firm requirement? If you have experience with this exact scenario (e.g. you also didn't have some original docs when going for the ICA appointment) it would be great to hear.

Just FedEx/DHL/courier the original documents over. Why take the chance? ICA wants to ensure the documents are genuine and not counterfeit.

I also had some original docs overseas when I received the IPA last year, I asked my family to help courier the docs to Singapore. I think those big courier firms like DHL, FedEx are safe when you send important documents.
