Hi all, I'm moving to SG soon, very excited, but I was thinking, can I get an apartmetn with 1.2K budget? I'm moving there alone, so I don't need anything big, even a 40 sq M will do me ok. but i dont want to share rooms whatsoever with others, i want to rent the whole flat/apartment. is my budget possible? I want a location near MRT and/or CBD. Thanks.

You may wish to consider HDB flat (public housing flats) and walkups as one of the options as there are not many
condo private apartments within the $1,200 scope near the CBD.
You can contact +65 61000 300 or email:
[email protected] if you need further assistance.

Walkups are basically the older apartments mostly without facilities and without any lifts.
They are mostly low-rise of about 3-5 floors high.
You may consider areas like Sophia Road for more affordable rents.

I stay in a 2 BR (old)
condo near Dhoby Gaut, paying 1.250... so it's possible to find a place near city at that budget!

Are there any nice short term apartments for 3-4 months? I need 3 rooms and has to be near a shop/mall if possible.

serviced apartments are good for leases of less than 6 months but they are more expensive.
