I made the mistake of signing up for "Trust Bank"

Post by PNGMK » Sun, 30 Oct 2022 12:45 pm

Don't be me.

It's crap because they don't really care.

It's junk built by outsourced people.

It's the worst of the worst of fintech because it will decline your transactions randonly.

You will regret it as the rewards are inaccessible because the app is crap.

I just finally managed to close the account.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Really? I'd think it would be pretty solid as it's a collab between StanChart and FairPrice.

I believe it's fairprice, but I'm sure there are many other players involved.

I thought one of their selling points were the fact that they're fee-less?

I opened the trust Bank account used up the vouchers and now I just keeping my excess cash in it for 1% interest. I don't see any problem. There is a huge thread in HWZ about this and haven't heard anything such from them.

Don't use it for transactions. It isn't really worth it. Just use it for keeping your excess cash, easy way to earn 1% without any conditions. Paynow and FAST works perfectly.

They are fee-less but they are certainly not fuss-less. I gave up after having a card or google pay issue the third time (which means I had to pay full price hence the imputed cost).

What are the vouchers for?

1. Google pay only - which causes issues with Samsung pay
2. Crappy app UIX design - you can't find anything
3. Mysterious "approval declined" time and again even though I had plenty of money in the account.
4. Laissez-faire approach to customer support.

There's no value in it if you value your time.

What kind of issue? Couldn't pay with the issued card?
