Treat the application fee as a donation and prepare for rejection until you decide to have a residential address in Singapore.

You can try, no one stopping you for trying.

no one know how long you need to stay in Singapore before you will get your PR.

BTW, not you only. your whole family.

For your age and industry, the salary is very low, I would say that you were lucky to get the EP extended. There are other Malaysian Chinese with similar income who get the PR, but they are 10 years younger.

Age not too big of a handicap for Malaysian Chinese. I know one who was 50 and got S pass no issue. In fact Msian WP holders can be renewed up to age 60. Also renewal salaries are not the same as for other EP holders. Just like the entry level was about 1500/mo lower than other EP holders but you will not find it on the website. But it is a fact and it does exist. In fact we have had a few on here that also confirmed same.

Hi nelyanne and sundaymorningstaple,
Thank you for your input.

Hi All,
My son dependant pass so fast got approved just in the same day approval, my company appointed agency submitted the DP application for wife and soon together on 3 November 2022 10:36am, I have checked about 3 times in between, my son DP pass approved on 3 November 202210:54pm which is about 12 hours time only... Maybe my son is a white paper and no record at all so fast got approved. However, my wife DP status is still pending.

Not sure anyone got experience before son got approved and wife is not approved?

And after got DP pass will that increase the PR application success rate?

DP application can stil take its normal processing time. Your son's application approved in a few hours has no bearing that your wife's application must also be approved in the same processing time. DP approval has totally nothing related to PR approval.

Hi All,

Thanks for your help and comment. Finally, my wife dependant pass have approved after 13 days of keep checking. Was so worry about the deported case from Malaysia Immigration and will causing the pass rejecting...

Just to highlight that only myself was stayed in Singapore from 23 May 2017 to 12 March 2020. Due to MCO in Malaysia, and we were planned to let our kid grow in Malaysia. Hence, the reason keep residing and work from home in Malaysia till now.
- From 13 March 2020 keep renting my Singapore room till Dec 2020
- From January 2021 till August 2021 was moved my items to storage

Now wish after the DP got issued for son and wife, then only submit the 4th time Singapore PR application. Really hope can get an approval this time...
