Your options are essentially to get induced or wait patiently. What's the rush though? Enjoy your last moments of peace and quiet.korosensei wrote: ↑Mon, 17 Oct 2022 11:06 amFTM here. Im currently in my 38weeks and entering 39weeks but still no sign of labor. I felt a bit of pressure because one my husband's friend's wife same gestational age as my baby just currently give birth. My baby is active. However, a bit troubel because until now no signs of labor. I am also actively exercising and walking everyday. My gynae says its normal for FTM. But somehow i wanted to give birth now so excited to hold and see my baby.
What do you mean wasn't supposed to survive? I've heard of preemie babies that came way earlier and did fine.sundaymorningstaple wrote: ↑Mon, 17 Oct 2022 1:25 pmYou just have to let nature take it's course if the baby is still moving. If not moving contact Gynae immediately. I was my mother's 1st and was 6 weeks early as wasn't supposed to survive (1947), my sister, on the other hand, 22 months younger than I went to 10 months (both natural births in John's Hopkins in Baltimore MD.)
No need to feel pressured. Everybody's timeline is different, comparing is a waste of time.korosensei wrote: ↑Mon, 17 Oct 2022 2:34 pmyes she is actively kicking. i just felt pressured that some FTM gave birth already. I will just wait for my baby when shes ready to go out. one thing im also excited who does she looks after. is it me or my husband..
Physical activity helps (like bouncing on a large inflatable ball). Some say eating spicy food helps to induce labor, but I'm not sure about that.abbby wrote: ↑Mon, 17 Oct 2022 4:00 pmIt should be anytime now coming 39 weeks. Just look out for water bag burst or bleeding, there's when you know you're about to deliver. It can occur when you are sleeping.
Prepare your hospital bag now on standby and better still leave it in the car.
Continue with your slow walks as it will help you in your delivery.
