Just to share, i dont think being married or divorce got an impact. i think its still go back to race. i got a friend malaysian chinese divorcee less than 3yrs here in sg applied for pr together with kid and got approved after 6mos. she is a bank executive earning around 3.5k per month.

It's widely known that Malaysian Chinese applicants tend to have a far easier time as they are perceived to be closer culturally, and will therefore have an easier time assimilating.

Because it’s an open secret that M’sian Chinese have an easier time with PR/SC applications in general. They even have an even more lax salary requirement for EP too.

Yup, but I guess it is true, being so closeby means that they're familiar with all of our customs, speak the same language, and generally blend in very well.
