Possible. But I think more and more people chose not to wear them. Also, right from the start, hardly any Caucasian I saw had the mask on so the conditioning seems a bit cultural.
The locals have figured out it's a way to beat the facial recognition systems on all the CCTV cameras around.

My wife also said it’s easier, don’t need to put on makeup - no one will know.

Not sure if that's true - we have facial recognition access in the office which is able to authenticate both with and without mask.

As I always wear a greek fishing cap, I always keep a pair of masks in the liner. When I get on Public transport or medical facility or NTUC Fairprice at NEX (because it's full of locals without an iota of common-sense) I put it on. But frankly, from the day we didn't have to wear (wherever) I don't. I've never like them and loath having to wear one.

I also doubt an average resident is aware of such systems around. And masks or no masks everybody carries a mobile phone.

As a Caucasian myself I can say I still wear mine most times in SG, I’m currently in Phuket and left mine at home as the restrictions are non-existent in Thailand just like in SG. My first time taking a flight without a mask on at any part of the journey, really trippy I must say.

Lol! Know you’re kidding but on the topic of facial recognition it was really interesting when I got off the plane and saw a big screen displaying the faces of all the travelers that had passed through the arrival hall, along with information like temperature and even whether or not they had a mask on. Kinda cool, kinda scary.

As a woman, completely agree

The time I usually spend getting ready in the morning has more than halved since COVID, now thinking about putting on a full face before work sounds like such a drag.

Yup, pretty sure Addadude was kidding. They’ve got similar technology in Thailand, and along the Malaysian border.

For now, the only places I MUST have one on are supermarkets, the inside of gas stations when I go in to pay, and on public transport (though this last one is a must for everyone else too).

In my neighbourhood now, it's dropped to about 85% masked. A bit higher in the malls. I suffer from allergies so I am careful not to sniffle when I am maskless. Otherwise I am glad to be back to almost normal, no more fogging glasses and mask poking my eye.

Mask poking your eye? That’s never happened to me LOL. For me, it’s nice to be able to get from point a to B without my whole face becoming sweaty and ruining my make up.

I have this probably unpopular opinion that most women look better with no makeup than with a makeup (statistically) but my wife keeps saying that the cases I think are without makeup are still with a makeup. Life is complicated.

x9200, I agree and disagree. While some could use a little help, me being an old farmboy, grew up around girls & women that either didn't wear or wore very little makeup and to me I appreciate the wholesome look over an "influencer". Or to put if bluntly, I like to wake up next to the same woman I went to sleep beside without her waking up 30 minutes early to put her face back on in order to keep up the charade.
