LTVP Application While On S Pass

Post by pmthosani » Sat, 20 Aug 2022 2:34 pm

Hi everyone,

I applied for my PR in March 2022, 5 months in. I applied through my spouse's sponsorship. I am also currently working in Singapore. Awaiting to hear from ICA regarding my PR.

I am not happy with my job and I am looking to quit. I already have an approved PMLA and LLE.

Can I apply for LTVP while I'm on my S Pass right now?

Here's my Profile :
Race :Indian
Years of stay : 7 yrs
Bachelor's degree from Singapore
Working with a company for 2.5+ years - S PASS
Married for 7 months

Husband:
Race :Indian
Singapore Citizen
Spouse completing post grad.

Of course you can apply for EP/LTVP/PR when you’re on S pass.

You already mentioned in your PR thread that your spouse is still finishing post-grad and that means not working = no income. LTVP & PR spouse sponsorship both require income though.

So I am surprised you got the PMLA LLE. Was the PMLA done when your spouse was working or still finishing up post-grad?

By right if you have PMLA LLE, LTVP has higher chance of being approved but it is not a 100% guarantee. You can certainly try.

I got the PMLA approval when my husband was unemployed and started post grad.

Thank you for the help though!
