Wait until after your 1st EP renewal (usually 24 months). Then more than likely a shoe-in. Don't jump the gun as is just makes ICA wonder why. All the right boxes are ticked except duration of employment in SG.

Forty is the usual age to become spinster who will never marry or reproduce. She still has hope till then albeit it gets dangerous for 1st pregnancies after the age of 38 so she better hurry. and yeah, lot286, she's calling it close and ICA may think that she will be a spinster auntie and not be of much help to the country. It a gamble she has to take considering she's thus far opted to remain single. The age part is the big negative factor. But it is something SHE has control over........

However, if she is a neurosurgeon or rocket scientist, she should be okay.

Hello2 quick check again with helpful elders here I’ve been interning in SG for few months, way back in 2009 under work permit. During PR application, do we need to submit this information?

During my EP application I sent this info to my HR but it doesn’t reflect in my final EP application but because I got my EP approved in about 3weeks that time, I didn’t gave further thought on the matter.

Hence it’s just came into my mind now

Yeah, it would be a good idea just to be on the safe side. The fact that your EP was issued without it just means it wasn't necessary but it will do no harm to include it on your PR application. Re: the Rockets or brain cutter you have the next best thing. You are Chinese Indonesian. That should hold you in good stead. (oh and it IS possible to have health offspring but it is still playing the odds. My wife was 38 when she delivered her first and 42 for the 2nd and they are all okay (both married and producing future cannon fodder and baby ovens.) Good luck

Hello all, a little bit update from my side.

Submitted PR application on the 27th November last year. I happened to check ICA website today and realized that while the application status is shown pending, there's no more button to submit documents. Hence, I'm hoping to receive the result of this application within the next month.

Life update - following all the good advice here to settle down before my alleged best by date, I made leap of faith to do ROM with my bf (SGC) on the 11th July. Our ROM application submitted by him, my status is as Foreigner, so I'm wondering IF my SGPR application *fingerscrossed* approved in the next one month let say.

Would my bf know that my status is already SGPR by the time we do documents check for ROM on the 10th July? So far I never told him I'm appliying for PR on my own merit yet.

Why not tell him everything since he's your better half?
Anyway, it will only be 8 month duration on July, so it will be unlikely to have the result on the ROM document check.
If failed on first attempt, wait for 2yrs of marriage before reapplying but this time your husband to sponsor you.

May I ask why you never informed him? I only ask as it would have been more prudent to get married sooner than later so that ICA could be notified before a final decision is made.

My thoughts as to why?

You have applied for PR via PTS scheme, this means you meet all the basic qualifications for PTS (but not necessarily approved). Had you applied and gotten married after the application was approved, your case would be that much stronger as you would have had to notify ICA of your change of Marital Status. This would strengthen your current application as you could also be considered under FT as well with submission and documentations corroborating same from your spouse. Currently if you are rejected with the existing application, then marry, you will need to be married ideally for two years before reapplying under FT just to show that is isn't a marriage of convenience. (It's a fine line but sometimes we oldies here try to put ourselves in ICA 's shoes when giving answers or thought processes). Again, I wish you luck.

Hi3 thanks for the response! Reason was I didn’t want to mixed my immigration status/lifestyle choices with my romantic interest with him.

A little bit back story, back in November I wasn’t 1000% sure that he would be my person and the past 6months with a lot of open communication and honest chats with each other, both of us feel we actually really compatible and we love and care about each other so much, why delay the marriage? so we decided to do ROM asap but by then the availability of fort canning solemnisation is in July. After coordinating with both family we settled on 11th July

We never talked about immigration status because it’s never the focus of our relationship, if that’s makes sense

Now, I wanna ask advice if I should *inform* ICA by email that I will get married with SGC on the 11th July this year?

Would that be a moot point at this stage? Because I’m assuming they already made approved or reject decision by now (assumption is based on the submit docs button gone already)

Congrats.. Your race being indonesian chinese might have been the main factor for approval. Otherwise quite impossible to get pr within 3-4 years.
