Is it common to find local movers under quoting on their quotes to get the business and later tell you it's actually costing more on the day of move? I was quoted for about 5 trucks but my last move was about 10-12 trucks. This disparity puzzles me on the huge difference in truck load...are they going to tell me it's actually 7 more trucks on the day of move? Quite hesitant to take up their offer.
Anyone has such experiences before with local movers?

Were you transparent with the amount of things that needed shifting? I would say that when it comes to moving transparency is of upmost importance. If you were upfront with what you needed but they were not firm on their quotation from the get-go, I would avoid engaging their services. It may seem like a small misquotation but it actually speaks to lack of professionalism and honesty.

It's concerning to receive vastly different truck load estimates. Transparency is crucial. Request a detailed breakdown of costs and inquire about potential additional charges upfront. Consider seeking quotes from multiple movers and reading reviews to ensure reliability. Communication is key to avoiding surprises on moving day.

Yup, in the end I settled for a very professional mover company which gave me a full upfront cost with no hidden cost on the day of move. So they would come down to give a final quote on the day of assessment by looking at your items to move. So I only paid what I see on the quote. Am happy and did not have to deal with nasty surprises.

Here is what AI says about this…
The best way to respond to a useless AI bot depends on the situation and your goals. You can either politely disengage from the conversation, provide feedback to the developers to improve the bot, or try to steer the conversation towards a more useful topic.

Should not be more than $1000, this is already on the high end. Generally, you can expect to pay between $500-$900 for 3-4 rooms.

Not worth really, look around there are cheaper options. This is a good place to start. Call and compare curriculum and rates.
