Deportation Process After Jail Sentence

Post by padres123 » Fri, 29 Jul 2022 3:45 pm

Hello all. I am curious to better understand what happens to foreigners they serve their sentence in Singapore.

Are they deported straight away on their release day from jail?
Are they allowed get (or have someone bring them) their luggage?
Who arranges/pays for the flight?
Is there a "deportation" stamp in their passport?
Is it possible to get ICA to allow time after release from (like 1 week) for a person to get their things together and leave on their own?

Any info or experience in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
