Monkeypox

Post by Lisafuller » Tue, 26 Jul 2022 4:37 am

Anybody else freaking out about monkeypox? With WHO declaring it a global public health emergency, and with the first few cases trickling into singapore, I’m freaking the hell out.

Unless you regularly touch other people’s bodily secretions/lesions and smear them all over yourself, you’ll be fine.

Now if the virus mutates to airborne transmission on the other hand…

It is not big news outside of Singapore....but I imagine it has been hyped up in Singapore. It is such a neurotic country.

Actually, it’s picking up traction in Asia, especially since WHO declared a global health emergency.
