Why do they even need to scan the plates if every SG car has the ERP device?
ERP is just an SG thing, they don't share the same database do they?
Yes it's an SG thing, and the people looking for cars that violated the SG rule that SG cars must leave the country with 3/4th tank full is..... You guessed it SG.....
I always thought that was a Malaysian rule...

Malaysia only cares if you pump their subsidized petrol, but they put a stop to that many years ago… they somehow managed to scare all of the petrol stations into not allowing Singapore cars to pump it. I remember shortly after they changed the rule, I tried at several stations… almost got away with it one time, but was stopped in the end. They are super strict - must be a steep penalty.

Hmm... I must not have noticed. Never tried pumping their subsidized petrol so makes no difference to me. Singapore on the other hand, always milking us for all we're worth.

That's one way to put it, definitely agree with you though. Good thing our times are coming to an end.

For us we could end up coming back at the turn of the next decade… who knows. We just know we want to travel and we want to be close to our kids (and any grandkids they might give us).

Never can tell. When I got married at 36 I never expected to eventually have two kids of my own, let alone 4 grandkids as well! I've learned the James Bond theme well. Never say never again! Ironically the movie premiered the same year we got married (1983). Guess I didn't read the tea leaves too well.

Hard to say, but I can just imagine both of my kids having kids. Both of my siblings had kids, and all four of my wife’s siblings had kids… so maybe it’s genetic.

Honestly, I agree. When I was younger, I never thought I would have kids. Granted, I only have one, but that's one more than I was expecting to end up with. No regrets.

I see my daughter having kids, but perhaps that's just wishful thinking on my part.
