Hi all,
I've been staying in Singapore for 1.5 years under EP (for me) and DP (for my spouse and kid).
My EP will expire Jan 2024 and based on MoM SAT, i cannot retain my EP next year.
It's hard for my company to meet the minimum salary for my EP next year, hence they will apply for Spass instead.
My question, should i apply for PR right now while i'm still having EP, or should i wait for next year after i get my new Spass?
And does the pass type really affect the chance after all?
My profile:
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Nationality: Indonesia
Education: Bachelor of Computer Science
Length of Experience: 12 years
Salary: 84k/year
Marital Status : Married (have 1 daughter 4 y/o, enrolled in local kindergarten)
Thanks!

Sorry to say if you are not able to continue to qualify for EP, PR application chances will be close to nil. Adding to this is that your stay in SG is too short.

Hello All,
Unfortunately, my PR got rejected after waiting for 19 months. It was my first time ever and have been living in Singapore since 2013. I applied with my elder son and wife (could not include my younger son as he was born post applying but have intimated the ICA and they had advised to wait for the outcome before i include him as well). The rejection letter says 'we have evaluated your application carefully, taking into consideration all the documents you have submitted'.
- Is this normal update that people get from ICA if their application is not successful?
- I had updated ICA on my salary increment about a month back so they should be aware of this change, can i still appeal?
- Do i need to wait at least for 6 months before i think of applying again?
Hoping to see your suggestions.
Thanks!

1. ICA notifies all applicants if they are approved or rejected. That is normal.
2. Appeals never work. Don’t even bother. If your salary increment was less than 30%, forget about it.
3. Should wait 2 years and improve profile before re-applying. If you don’t wait, the results will be the same. Same data in = same data out.
You might say you have new data such as a second son and a salary increase, but I feel you’ll still be rejected if re-apply so soon.

Hi,
That’s good to know and congratulations!
May I check if there were some changes in your profile VS when you applied earlier?
Knowing this might help me to gather some confidence
Thank you!

You should understand that Hope2023 has already applied several times before (almost 6 times) and for you it is just your first time submission. I am not saying that PR will only get approved only after 2 or 3 rejections and not saying it wont get approved in the first submission. But in your case, i dont know how it is going to give you confidence by him saying that he did not have much change between reject and appeal. Anyway, you can appeal and see your chances. I think your managerial position can be a problem, as it is usually occupied by citizens or pr. Anyway, it is just my opinion. Since, you say your wife owns a catering business, are there any sgc/pr employed?

There are people who have applied in March 22 and still waiting for the result. And it has been mentioned several times that there could be a 12-24month wait.

We can get you the numbers. But let me say this: What is the point behind the question?
In all serious, no correlation in general between wait time and acceptance.
