Is relocation normally paid by Employer?

Post by Matteo » Tue, 25 May 2004 10:13 am

Hi,
I am looking at a permanent IT specialist role with a large investment bank. Is it likely that my employer will subsidise relocation costs from Australia? I just wanted to get an idea before my interview.
Cheers,

Big banking firms usually do as well as a car...

Not sure though for an IT expert as the big packages are normally reserved for the Executives...

Relocation is usually paid if transferring within the same company, but not necessarily if you're joining the company in Singapore. But as Bafana said, banks have other people's money to throw around, especially if you're joining as an expat and not a local.
