EP Salary Thresholds

Hoping someone can provide some clarity about the following:

Do the same EP salary thresholds (i.e. minimum salary based on a candidate's credentials) still apply to companies with a smaller headcount (i.e. 10-15 people)?

A company has made me an offer which fails to pass MOM's online self assessment tool, however HR are adamant that it won't be an issue because company is small and I will be the first foreigner joining.

Is this true?

It's a commission based role with lucrative performance related pay so base salary isn't so important to me, however an EP application only considers base salary, hence my concern about approval.

Sometimes, rarely if the candidate has his/her education in SG (likely a gov uni), the EP salaries on the SAT tool MAY not be enforced. if you search through the forum you can find this.

Unless you are a Malaysian, you will be the first I've heard of. Keep us posted if you are not M'sian. If you are the first EP holder the company is hiring, how would they know this until they have submitted the application. Keep you fingers crossed and don't close the door to other offers until you actually receive an IPA.
