Employment history declaration in PR application

Post by CSK_009 » Wed, 08 Jun 2022 9:48 am

Hello,

I am planning to apply for PR (SP holder, works in an MNC, have been in Singapore for 9 years). My understanding is I need to declare all my previous employers in my PR application.

I have documentation for almost all except 1 (company is not in Singapore and I stayed there for only 3 months). I am unable to get documentation from this company certifying that I was an employee of their's as it has been more than 10 years since I was last employed by them (they no longer keep records of employees who have left after more than 10 years).

My question is should I still be declaring this company in my PR application? I am concerned that ICA will request for documentation and I will not have anything to present.

TIA.

If it's not a Singapore company and from a period of time before arrival here you can list it but don't' worry about not having documentary evidence as long as the rest of the application is in order.

Understanding the flexibility regarding non-Singaporean companies and older timeframes in the application process is reassuring. While documentation is crucial, it's good to know that exceptions can be made, as long as the overall application is complete and accurate. This flexibility can ease the process for applicants in specific situations.

It's crucial to maintain transparency in your PR application. Even if the company from over 10 years ago no longer has records, declare it in your application. In a covering letter to ICA, explain the situation, emphasizing your commitment to providing all available documentation, showcasing your contributions and stability in Singapore for the past 9 years.
