Has MOM/TAFEP ever helped foreigners?

Post by rockstargirl » Fri, 20 May 2022 4:35 am

Hi everyone,

Seeking advice for a friend who recently went through bullying incidents at workplace and even felt suicidal because of these events and which led to forced resignation in name of insubordination. Has anyone ever had an experience with TAFEP or MOM helping foreign employees on such cases? HR from org was as always busy with saving their and company's image and even worked with bullies to harass the person in question further. Just curious about how fair MOM is listening to such cases and has there been any favorable resolution to such matters or is it waste of time to even bother reaching out?

No. You might have some success speaking to a solicitor. Unless this is actual illegal acts such as sexual harassment bullying is not frowned upon.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

It involved element of inappropriate behavior from a superior as well. The person in question doesn't have any financial backing so legal cost is also a consideration.

Man on woman bullying will be taken seriously. Nothing else unless a seizable offense.
