Hi everyone, would like to seek for advice on when's a good time to apply PR for my spouse.
My details:
Female, 29 years old, Singaporean Chinese
Annual income 41k
HR in F&B industry
Bachelor's Degree (Australia University)
Spouse's details:
Male, 29 years old, South Korean
Mechanical Engineer in Environmental Engineering industry (on Epass, has been working for 2 years+, Epass has been renewed once before)
Annual income 72k
IP, IB, NUS graduate (he has been in Singapore for 14 years)
PR application experiences:
1. Applied once during his last year in NUS with his student pass - Failed
2. Applied once when he worked for ~1 year under PTS scheme - Failed
We got married 3 months back in February. As he had 2 unsuccessful applications before, we're debating if he should try applying it based on his own merits under PTS again or just apply via spouse sponsorship.
Is it too early to apply for spouse PR now? Or is it worth a try? Appreciate any advice, thank you in advance!

Re: Spouse PR vs PTS PR?
The general consensus is to have 2-3 years of income tax assessment then apply.
Same thing with marriage. Wait 2-3 years then apply or else ICA thinks it’s a marriage of convenience. Use these 2-3 years to improve salary as SC spouse salary is on the low side.

Surely based on Spouse sponsored PR. Apply after 2 years of marriage or after a kid.krsg1993 wrote: ↑Tue, 10 May 2022 12:19 pmHi everyone, would like to seek for advice on when's a good time to apply PR for my spouse.

Re: Spouse PR vs PTS PR?
Hi, maybe try apply under spouse. I got PR June 2019. married a Filipino in Dec 2019, had a son in May 2021. Applied for PR July 2021, and approve today 27th May 2022.
During that time, wife is unemployed because she was pregnant with my son. And I work as a FnB manager earning 42k annually. Son is born here.
