Restraurant Idea Please????

Post by Matney » Mon, 04 Apr 2005 8:25 am

My hubby has been in India on business for over 4 wks. We would like to go out to dinner (without children). I need some recommendations of places to go. We've only been here for 4 months and tend to go to place geared for children. We live on the East Coast, other places on the island would be great. Thanks!

There is an absolutely excellent Italian place called Pasta Brava. Good food, good wines, and a nice quite place to eat and talk without a din all around.

11 Craig Road, 6227 7550, reservations recommended.

da paolo always has good pasta. and i love their tiramisu and panna cotta. they have a few restaurants around singapore but my fave is in cluny court. sit outside and you'll feel like you're on some kind of balinese resort.

Restaurant ideas

Post by Matney » Wed, 06 Apr 2005 10:31 am

Thanks, for the suggestions! We have been to Margaritas on the East Coast, twice in fact. Always said we would try the place next door. Any way how did you know hubby has Italian roots? The other places will definitely go on my 'must try' list....

Hey Matney,
As for Al Forno next to Magarita's... they have another branch in Newton/Novena. Same name, different owners and think they have nothing to do with each other anymore.

My husband and I prefer the Newton branch. We used to live opposite it and since moving to East Coast now, still prefer to drive there!
The Capriciosa pizza and Arrabiatta Spaghetti is what we always have. The Arrabiatta is the best I've tasted so far and the pizza is cheesy and just melts in your mouth. East Coast version doesn't even come close. Chefs there are Italian. Nice guys.
