Hi,

I am a SG citizen applying for PR for my Burmese (non-chinese) spouse as a sponsor.
She has been here for 6 years (we are married 6 years) and is a housewife.
My annual base salary is 130K+ SGD per annum and I am an ethnic Chinese.
We have 2 young pre-school kids, SG citizens, born in SG.
What are her chances?

Something new I heard today is of your PR pending shows 4 lines then it’s a good chance else it shows 1 or 2 lines .. anyone knows bout this 😂
I just noticed, my upload documents button is gone. I applied exactly 4 months ago.
Also 4 lines. It is going to be a rejection. The last 6-7 odd times it got rejected, it was like this exactly after 4/6/9 months. As if they just set a timer to reject.

Mine was rejected after exactly 6 months this time..

I am extremely frustrated to see people here only for 1-2 years with low income and no contributions to IRAS getting PR while Indian people like us struggling..

We should do community service and tell all indians to stop coming here..
Then maybe there is a chance we old timers get a chance for PR
Other way is to explore other countries like Australia, New Zealand or Canada. I got a lot of friends who migrated there together with their families last year. Im also tempted to go because their way of assesing PR applications is based on points system. However, the thing that holds me back is my family here. Im married to SG PR Malaysian and have baby here. Currently, my husband applies for citizenship and my bb in LTVP.

If Im single confirm one I go on these countries and try my luck.

Sure sir understand and noted very well.
But assume that the chances might be better than most Indians that keep applying and getting rejected under PTS scheme.
Malaysia is a good option too of course, but my gf will be applying for SC in near future .
But the Indians who keep applying and getting rejected, have very strong ties with India and have absolutely no problem going back. Most go back even after they get PR. But you dont have that option right?

This is why I tell, dont count your chickens before they hatch. Nothing is guaranteed, neither your girlfriend getting SC nor you getting PR if you marry your GF.

Also the Malaysia option, again, up in the air.

You need to smell the coffee and act fast.

Hi, what are the chances of getting approved and if I appeal, what are the chances. Female, 19 Y/O, went through Sg primary and secondary school (completed NA only) and currently gg to private school (though wasn’t attending when applying for PR) and working as general admin ~2k/month. Viet and on LTVP. Mother is PR as she remarried a Singaporean after moving to Sg

Better only after u finish your degree and start earning a bit more. Till then chance will be low for both the application and the appeal. I am assuming that you are applying on your own.

Low because:
Ethnic quota - You’re competing with everyone else that’s not Chinese, Malay or Indian. Smallest quota with biggest number of applicants.

Single - The government prefers married couples because they can beget the next generation.

Salary - So high you are deemed a flight risk because you can easily leave the country for another well paying job.

They won’t care if you own a home or not. It only benefits you, not the country.

You didn’t mention your gender or nationality either. “Caucasian” is vague.

You only re-apply if there are significant changes to your profile. If you apply again with the same stats as before, of course you’ll get rejected.

You want PR? Marry a local citizen and have a baby. Not advocating a marriage of convenience but it is what it is.

My PR got rejected today, on a Sunday, exactly after 4 months. It was pending as of yesterday. So it confirms my theory that for some people, they know right at the time of application that this person is a rejection candidate, yet they don't want people to game the system, hence they would set a timer to reject in 4 to 6 months. I am pretty sure no human even saw my application. The entire thing is automated to reject, unless some very few people come through from their selection criteria.

Anyways, I had pretty much zero hopes. I just take things 1 year at a time, my EP expires end of this year, so that is the max visibility I have. If my EP gets renewed then I plan and budget for next year. Otherwise just go back to home sweet home.

Interestingly, my 3 rejections prior to the approval in the 4th attempt - they rejected in exactly 4 to 6 months. Having said that, approval also took around 5.5 months.

My guess is still someone manually reviewed and rejected it (may be automated point scores shown to the reviewer to make a decision) but outcome gets published close to the Nth month timeline.

Well, that did a pretty good job of blowing WD40's Theory right out of the water.

Sorry to hear that but you are a winner, you made your million + and can retire in india when you want comfortably.
Someone said here the new PR is EP, getting an EP renewed prolly is going to be tough in 2023/2024.. anyone has any thoughts on that?
