Wife in healthcare sector could be a contributing factor in your approval.

Our PR Application got rejected today - a 13-month wait came to an end :)

Application:

My details are as follows:
Nationality: Indian
Length of Stay in SG: ~5yrs
Work: Technology Leadership
Annual Salary: 270k including bonus
Qualification: Bachelor in Technology

Spouse details:
Nationality: Indian
Length of stay in SG: ~5yrs
Qualification: Masters in Finance
Homemaker

Son: Born in India, will go to local school from Jan 2023

Some of the changes were not part of the application

1. Salary change by 15%
2. Position change at work (From Individual contributor to Director)
3. Son got a local school

On a side note, we are expecting a baby boy in Jan

Should I appeal or wait for a year and reapply with our new family member :)

Please advice

Which industry and exact role is the main applicant in ? How many years of total work experience?

Sorry to hear. Was the above application your first try?

Just curious, did your son get into the local school via Phase 3 (P1) or AEIS (a subsequent grade)?

IMO, there's not a ton you can do to change odds materially; there is still a bit of luck involved here. Job, education, and salary all seem fine (slight increments/position changes are nice for oneself but probably aren't moving the needle a ton for the application). Positive is that there are two kids involved, both of which are male.

Net-Net, I think it is a slight positive that you were not rejected in 6-9 months (although could be nothing). I don't know if they asked for any other info, in which case I guess it could be positive, neutral, or negative depending on what was asked and the answers. I also think it is a slight positive your child was given a spot in the local school via Phase 3. AEIS is an aptitude test whereas Phase 3 is based on interest. No one knows how spots in Phase 3 are given out, but I doubt it is (completely) random.

I'm not sure giving exact odds is really worth much. However, if you can stay here five more years, which is 1 or 2 more applications I would think you at least have a fighting chance (i.e. more than the lottery odds some are facing). In contrast, if you cannot get it in the next five years (10 years total here), it probably is what it is. As others have mentioned, it wouldn't hurt to run Plan B in parallel; at some point it may be the better decision.

Happy to be corrected on any of the above by others here. Otherwise, best of luck for any subsequent tries.

Try again after 1 year. If you don't get it in another 2 more attempts,if I were you I would be executing my Plan B.

Hi,

I would like to enquire this board and hear your opinions regarding my PR application. Currently, this is my third PR application.

My profile:
Age:17
Nationality: Malaysian
Race: Malay
Education: UPSR( equivalent to SG’S PSLE) , GCE N- LVL with 5 credit awarded, achieved the top 5% in SG cohort for N LVL, currently studying at local polytechnic.
Length of stay in SG: 4yrs+

The first application me and my mother applied under SC sponsorship by my mother spouse, which my mother got her approval while mine was rejected.

The second time i applied under my mother’s sponsorship got rejected on Oct 2021 right before my N LVL exam.

For current application, I applied on April 2022 and also under my SPR mother sponsorship and still pending for 8 months. (I reapply third time due to the circumstances that i have passed the national examination here and currently studying in Polytechnic)

Not sure how this happened as usually the entire application is approved or rejected. not by individual persons unless if they were separate applications.

Also is your mother - current sponsor for the PR application - working?

2018 in Singapore

1st application - apply PR- Mother spouse SC sponsorship. when apply, when approve?
2nd application - apply PR under PR mother sponsorship. reject Oct 2021. when apply?
3rd application (current - apply on April 22 which is 6 mth after 2nd application reject)) - apply PR under SPR mother sponsorship.

Your mother is SC or PR?

Now you in LTVP or Student pass?
