Hello all,
I was hoping I could get some insight of whether our application for a LTVP will be approved?
I am a Singaporean citizen married to an Australian citizen. We have been married 8 years with a 9 month old baby. We both have degrees and have worked in Australia for 13 years. We are thinking of relocating to Singapore, but wanted to know my husband's eligibility for a LTVP.
I have not had an income in Singapore for the last 13 years, so do not have any income assessments or CPF contributions. I have just been offered a position to start in Singapore in June that pays $7000 SGD per month.
Would my husband be eligible for a LTVP and how likely would it be for it to be approved? Please let me know if you need more information!

Once you start working in SG for a few months with the salary you have quoted, it should be possiblejanfloosh wrote: ↑Tue, 22 Mar 2022 10:02 amHello all,

Thank you for the reply! So we won't be able to apply now while we're outside Singapore?

Look up Sunjackal and ashtag06’s posts. Both of them asked if can apply LTVP outside of SG and it is not possible as the D/E card number is required and you only get it once you’re in SG.singaporeflyer wrote: ↑Tue, 22 Mar 2022 1:08 pmYou can apply, but whether it will be approved is subjective.
Both of them ended up applying for LTVP once they were in SG.
OP can apply once she gets first month’s payslip along with letter of employment with the new company in SG.

Re: Long Term Visitor Pass (LTVP) Probability
Tried filling up an application today for my parents, It asked a question is applicant is in Singapore, If select No -> No DE number asked. If yes - DE Number field appears. Hope this clarifies.MOCHS wrote: ↑Tue, 22 Mar 2022 5:49 pmLook up Sunjackal and ashtag06’s posts. That’s interesting! I’m pretty sure I couldn’t find a way around it back when I applied - as I already had a PR application submitted whilst overseas but I couldn’t find a way around the disembarkation number for LTVP.
As for the OP: It is definitely possible, because it happened for us - except my wife (the SC) wasn’t working even once approved. There were other financial aspects to the application that I would say played a role in that, though.
Ultimately, if you are happy to pay the fee, you could try in advance and failing that - try again once you’ve been in SG for a few months.
