Welcome to the forum BarJim. You can get throat lozenges just about everywhere in SG. People here consume them even when they are not sick. I would venture to say that lozenges are more popular than ordinary sweets.
The reason he is asking is he doesn't know squat about Singapore as he's a spammer in the UK. I didn't delete his two posts as they were actually harmless but as I guessed, it would provide a breeding ground later. So he's been locked out, don't waste any more time with him. - Modmalcontent wrote: ↑Tue, 08 Mar 2022 1:31 pmWelcome to the forum BarJim. You can get throat lozenges just about everywhere in SG. Just about any grocery store or even the tiny corner store has them. The brands are plentiful… Fisherman’s Friend, Ricola, Wood’s, Hacks and Halls to name a few. For the more medicinal ones, Strepsils, Robitussin & Difflam are some prominent examples — these are sold over the counter at pharmacies like Guardian/Watsons.
Personally, I find the local throat lozenges are not very effective. I suspect it is because people here treat them like ordinary sweets, so they are formulated with less potency. I know from experience that Halls sold here is not as effective as Halls sold in the US, and we always bring back a few packs and keep them in our fridge so they don’t melt. Cepacol is the only brand of sore throat lozenge that I have ever found to be effective, for me anyway.
