Postby Deadpoet » Sat, 02 Apr 2005 6:23 pm

This weeke's WNDC will be at Coolies (Coolies has changed it's name to Beer Cellar, but is still own and run by Charlie. Nothing much else changed, but the name).

Hope to see you all there this Wed, 8PM.

I will not be able to come this week, as I will be out of town.
Amy and Roy have volunteer to host this week's WNDC. Any question, please e-mail me and I will fwd you their contact number/email.

For those of us who have never experienced Coolies or the Beer Cellar, can you let us know where it is?

It's short for Wednesday Night Drinking Club. It's just some people (expats and locals) hanging out at different bars every wednesday. There are some regulars who come regularly or pretty often and others that come and go.

It's a good place for newcomers to get friends and basic info. Some people who organizes other activities come once in a while, which makes a good jumping point for people who want to find other activities but don't know what or any other friends who want to do similar things.

Some newcomers can meet other newcomers and form their own group to do other activities since they usually, have never been to the popular places in South East Asia (let's say, bangkok, bali or vietnam) or sports that are fun in the tropics (diving) and arrange to do them together. These don't happen very often though, but I've seen it happen.
